Sky High Farm Workwear is creatively directed by artist Dan Colen, who is also the founder of the brand's non-profit organization, Sky High Farm. Sky High Farm is a nonprofit organization founded in 2011 in Ancramdale, New York, with the goal of producing sustainable, nutritious food for impoverished communities. SHFWW's "Fashion to Food" ethos had attracted collaborations with artists and organizations such as Fucking Awesome and Noah. SHFWW equates buying used clothing and playful gear with investing in regenerative and equitable farming practices that challenge the destructive hegemony of industrial agriculture. As a sustainable practice, SHFWW produces clothing using secondhand, deadstock, and recycled materials. He has also collaborated with a number of brands, including his collaboration with Balenciaga, which delved into the archives as a philanthropic partnership. In addition, he has collaborated with Rei Kawakubo's Comme des Garçons and Converse.
